Movies and Jewelry

Movies are a part of our lives. From the trials and tribulations of the protagonists to their aspirations, movies are somehow a reflection of our own soul that we see in the movie stars. We try to imitate the film stars in one way or the other. Here are some of the most famous movies that include some extremely beautiful jewelry pieces worn by the A-list movie stars –

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part I (2011) – Even as a majority of the critics were busy penning down the vampire-human-werewolf love story franchise, we viewers found a way to the theaters. Edward Cullen offers Bella Swan a stunning Victorian ring that makes the girls go weak in their knees. The oval shaped ring with carefully perched round stones on a narrow band has gained even much popularity than the movie itself.

Titanic (1997) – We can never forget this heart wrenching story of never ending love and loss, as well as the scene where Rose takes off her robe to be sketched by Jack wearing ‘The Heart of the Ocean’. Made from a blue cubic zirconium and gold, the Heart of the Ocean still remains one of the most famous jewelry pieces ever shown in a motion picture.

The Lord of the Rings – Arwen (Liv Tyler) looks like a dream in the movie in a spotless white attire and sporting the Elvish necklace, ‘The EvenStar’. Based on JRR Tolkien’s classic literary work, the movie franchise directed by Peter Jackson emphasized on the minutest details to make the book come alive. The EvenStar is a symbol of love, immortality and purity, which Arwen gives to her love Aragon.

Black Swan (2010) – Darren Aronofsky continued with his immaculate art of story telling with Black Swan, a psychological thriller that revolves around dancer Nina (Natalie Portman) and her struggle to keep a balance between fantasy and reality. All the jewelry pieces worn in the movie are exquisitely and elegantly designed, matching perfectly with the movie theme.

Gone with the Wind (1939) – Arguably one of the finest movies ever made, Gone with the Wind is the movie that still touches hearts even after 7 decades of its release. Scarlett O’Hara, played by Vivien Leigh, looks stunning in the climax scene sporting a huge Victorian brooch. Set in gold, the oversized brooch is still imprinted in the minds of millions of ladies of all ages.

Whether it is an engagement ring, bridal jewelry or diamond jewelry, jewelry has always been a treasure for us from all the ages. So if you are planning to impress your loved one or gift yourself exquisite diamond jewelry, keep these ideas in mind.
